Highlights of the Activity:
On the 95th birth anniversary of Shri Y. D. Mane (Anna), the Kagal Education Society’s Y. D. Mane Campus launched the “Avoid Plastic” initiative. The Faculty of Social Activity and NSS Unit organized a “No Plastic Campaign”on 9th and 23rd December 2024 to raise awareness among local communities about the harmful effects of plastic waste on the environment and human health. The campaign included visits to Kagal City, Bus Stand, and Depot, where students, faculty, and staff of B. Pharm and D. Pharm actively interacted with the public. The program was flagged off by HOD Mr. Rituraj Desai, with enthusiastic participation from all departments. Under this initiative, all institutes of the Kagal Education Society collected 1500 kg of plastic waste, including 304 kg by Y. D. Mane Institute of Pharmacy. The event was supported by Secretary Shri Pratap Mane, Chairman Shri Bipin Mane, Campus Director Mrs. Shilpa Patil, and Principal Dr. Sayed Asdullah. This campaign marked a meaningful step towards a cleaner, plastic-free environment and community awareness.
